GreenArrow Email Software Documentation

Installation

What is the typical installation and startup time?

It depends on your deployment model.

For a manual installation, a single instance that must be configured from scratch (including things like DNS and Feedback Loop Applications) would take an experienced system administrator maybe a few hours, assuming they have full access to all of the tools they needed to do the job and were familiar with email, in general. If they are familiar with GreenArrow and the setup process, it could be done in 30 minutes to an hour.

Deploying GreenArrow using automation tools and docker (with DNS and IPs that are already configured) could take a matter of minutes. Actually starting a Docker container would be measured in seconds.

Startup time of the MTA, once the operating system has booted, is measured in seconds.

Any considerations or dependencies are documented in the installation guide
